In this study, an X-ray in terms of VET of the current situation in the health sector and of care for the elderly and dependent people is carried out. The analysis carried out involved knowing the characteristics, dynamics and trends of the labour market in these sectors and analyzing with a prospective perspective the training needs of the different VET offers. The innovative trends of these sectors are described and the most demanded, difficult to cover and emerging profiles are identified. All this with the ultimate aim of identifying the potential implications and associated opportunities for strategic planning and the design of the VET training offer.

The study was based on a survey in which more than 250 organizations from the sector participated, 33 interviews and 4 discussion groups with different key agents. It has been developed by the BCN VET Foundation in collaboration with CaixaBank Dualitza and with the support of Barcelona Activa.
