The energy sector (a very complex sector in terms of its in-depth analysis since, by virtue of its transversal nature, many degrees and professional families are directly or indirectly linked to it) is experimenting a change in the energy model because of different economic, social, and environmental factors. Companies and the labor market in this sector seek to adapt to the new scenario which will generate new forms of employment. Therefore, the existing VET curricular models must be able to adjust to the changing environment by providing the training needed for the new competencies, thus facilitating the business and educational viability of our territory. This study has been promoted by the VET Observatory of the BCN Vocational Training Foundation with the support of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and in collaboration with the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona.
