The Gala marked the closing of the Work with Values program, one of the most significant initiatives within the Professional Life Project, in which the Foundation has been a partner for 13 years together with the CEB and Femcat.

Thank you for counting on us, and congratulations on all the achievements accomplished.

We participate in Advanced Factories 2026

The Foundation collaborated in the 10th edition of Advanced Factories AF2026, held from May 5 to 7 at Fira Barcelona, an event that continues to strengthen its position as a benchmark in automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0.

On Thursday the 7th, during the Next-Gen Industry Awards, the organization recognized the Foundation with a special award for promoting industrial competitiveness. We are grateful for this recognition and share it with the educational centers that make industrial talent training possible.

This year, as a new initiative, we organized a Technology Tour for 20 career guidance counselors from the CEB and Barcelona Activa, with the aim of learning more about the professional profiles required by Industry 4.0.

If the industry needs professionals, we must guide young people toward vocational education and training in the industrial sector.

New call for grants to promote the Simulated Company with the SEFED methodology

This May, the Fundació BCN Formació Professional has launched a new call for financial support aimed at vocational education and training (VET) centres in Barcelona and its metropolitan area interested in implementing or consolidating a simulated company using the SEFED methodology (Simulated Companies for Educational Purposes).

The Simulated Company project of the Fundació BCN Formació Professional and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area is an innovation project that seeks to complement education with fully practical knowledge and strengthen the transversal skills of VET students, with the aim of facilitating their future integration into the labour market.

The SEFED methodology recreates the operation of a company within the educational centre, offering students a training experience based on the simulation of real administrative and commercial processes, connected to a national and international network of simulated companies.

The call is addressed to all VET centres in Barcelona and its metropolitan area.

The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, 22 June 2026, and applications must be submitted through this FORM.

We encourage you to take part!

VET Basic students take part in an international mobility experience in Munich

From 29 April to 9 May, VET Basic students from Barcelona and Alcoy carried out an international mobility programme in the city of Munich. During these 11 days, participants completed specialised professional placements related to their training profile while also taking part in cultural activities to better discover the city, its culture and traditions.

This experience reinforces our commitment to a more inclusive VET system, open to the world and capable of creating opportunities for all students, thanks to the support of the SEPIE – Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education and Erasmus+ programmes.

Through the Fundació BCN Formació Professional and the European VET Network Xarxa FP, we promote an inclusive internationalisation of vocational education and training, fostering international mobility experiences at all levels of VET.

MetròpolisFPLab launches a pilot workshop to strengthen VET students’ communication skills

Last April 29, we held the pilot workshop “Communicating Ideas that Make an Impact: How to Explain and Defend Your Project” in the IMEB assembly hall, as part of the MetròpolisFPLab programme.

This new initiative was created with the aim of supporting those VET teams that, despite having carried out excellent work throughout the programme, did not reach the Accelerator phase. The workshop sought to strengthen students’ communication skills, help them showcase the value of their projects, and provide a space to conclude and recognise their participation.

The session, which included the participation of 13 teams and the collaboration of ASENCAT, was highly enriching and stood out for the students’ strong engagement and active participation throughout the day.
