The VET Council of the City of Barcelona is a counselling, social participation and sector-oriented body in accordance with the provisions of articles 19 and following the Regulations governing citizens’ involvement, article 36.2 of Law 22/1998 December 30 of the Municipal Charter of Barcelona, and articles 59 and 60 of Law 8/1987 April 15 of the municipal and local regime of Catalonia.
Barcelona Vocational and Education Training Council was established as a steady platform for the different educational, social and economic agents that operate locally. Its main objective is improving the quality of the vocational training system and job placement in the city.
