These studies seek to analyze whether the curricula of vocational training programs are suited to deliver the professional competencies required by the market. Public policy guidelines are proposed to solve the problems identified. New technologies have accelerated and modified production procedures as well as the interaction between production units and people. The readiness for change on the part of companies and the labor market generates new forms of occupation that require adjusting the existing VET curricular models to the new competency needs of professionals in the sector. This study has been promoted by the VET Observatory of the BCN Vocational Training Foundation with the support of Barcelona City Council and the collaboration of Nestlé.
